Playful Complex

delves into the realm of transforming 2D shapes into 3D pieces, all while embracing a theme of playfulness. The use of simple shapes and inviting warm tones, reminiscent of childhood toys, imbues the cube with a sense of levity and joy. The design process began with floor plans, which were then meticulously crafted into a nested and packed pattern of shapes, some of which seamlessly blend two shapes to create a unique and captivating perspective. The final product, a 40x10x10 cuboid, stands as a testament to the power of 2D and 3D design, and the endless possibilities that arise from their harmonious interplay.

This unrolled cube was designed through the exploration and the extraction of captivating shapes from floor plans provided. The central theme is the harmonious connections formed between shapes.

the cube was used as a fundamental building block that acts as a catalyst to an abstract interior. it facilitates the transformation of 2d shapes to the 3d realm. inside it unveils a narrative that accentuates the interplay and tension among forms through moments of fluidity, conversion and diversion within the space.
